INFRARED SAUNA SESSIONS

Gently detox, unwind, and restore your body with infrared heat therapy.

What is an Infrared Sauna & How Is It Different from a Traditional Sauna?

An infrared sauna uses infrared light waves to heat your body directly, rather than heating the air around you like a traditional sauna does. Because it delivers a gentler, dry heat at lower temperatures—typically between 100 and 140°F—it penetrates deeper into the skin and tissues, promoting sweating from the inside out. Traditional saunas, on the other hand, rely on heated air or steam to warm the environment to much higher temperatures, usually between 170 and 200°F, causing surface-level sweating.

This means infrared saunas tend to be more comfortable and easier to tolerate for longer sessions, as the heat feels less intense and the air remains dry and breathable. Infrared saunas are often portable or cabin-style and require less infrastructure compared to traditional saunas, which need a dedicated space and steam or heat source.

Many people choose infrared saunas for their detoxification benefits, pain relief, improved circulation, skin clarity, and relaxation without the overwhelming heat of a traditional sauna. They are especially popular for post-workout recovery and for those sensitive to high heat who still want to enjoy deep, therapeutic warmth.

What makes Sunlighten saunas different?

Sunlighten uses proprietary SoloCarbon® heaters that emit far, mid, and near infrared light to heat the body directly (not just the air), for more efficient warming and deeper penetration. These saunas are 95–99% infrared emissive, ultra-low EMF, and non-toxic—backed by third-party safety testing

How should I prepare and follow up?
